Founded in 1731, Bouchard Père et Fils has built up an estate of 130ha and, collectively, is the largest owner of Grand Crus (12ha) and Premier Crus (74ha) across the Côte d’Or.
The domaine is very well known for its white wines which offer purity and finesse. They all have diam closures.
Today we present a range of whites from Meursault and beyond. Quantities are very limited.
All wines are available now.

Meursault 1er Cru Genevrieres 2019
$255.00 a bottle
James Suckling
A rich and generous Meursault with plenty of ripe-apricot and melon character, which is very neatly underlined by the vanilla oak. Full body with quite some creaminess, then comes the long finish with excellent mineral freshness. Everything fits extremely neatly! Drink or hold. 95 Points
Jasper Morris MW
Two plots in the upper part, picked separately. Pale yellow. The bouquet is very striking with its verbena and juniper nose, plenty of energy here. Big shoulders, some warmth, but it holds it in, with excellent length. Ripe pear notes on the palate. This will all come together. 92-94 Points
Neal Martin, Vinous
A blend of two parcels, the 2019 Meursault Les Genevrières 1er Cru was the first to be picked by Bouchard in this appellation. The well-defined bouquet features touches of lemon thyme, walnut and smoke. The palate is balanced with fine acidity, fresh and focused. The pretty, apricot-tinged finish fans out wonderfully and leaves residues of grilled almond and sesame on the aftertaste. Excellent. (Drink between 2023-2040). 92-94 Points
William Kelley, Wine Advocate
Offering up notes of pear, white flowers, toasted almonds and beeswax, Bouchard's 2019 Meursault 1er Cru Genevrières is medium to full-bodied, satiny and chiseled, with a more tightly wound, introverted profile than the Charmes that preceded it. Built to age, this is a serious Genevrières that I look forward to tasting from bottle. 92-94 Points

Meursault 1er Cru Perrieres 2019
$519.00 a Magnum
Only 2 available
Jasper Morris MW
Full lemon yellow the most compete nose of the big three, combining aspects of the other two. Pears in the background, starts discreetly then really kicks on before reaching a complex powerful finish with very good acidity. High class wine here with excellent length. 93-96 Points
Neal Martin, Vinous
The 2019 Meursault Les Perrières 1er Cru is quite intense on the nose, although I found more terroir expression on the Genevrières by comparison. The well-balanced palate has a saline entry, a fine bead of acidity and an intense, quite citric finish; good salinity on the aftertaste. This Les Perrières has plenty of energy and should offer 15–20 years’ drinking. (Drink between 2023-2043). 92-94 Points

Meursault 1er Cru Perrieres 2018
$225.00 a bottle
James Suckling
A tight, fruity white with sliced-apple and light banana notes and some stone undertones. Medium-to full-bodied, reserved, dense and beautiful. Flavorful finish. Drink or hold. 93 Points
Jasper Morris MW
From the upper part, three plots. It is in tank having been racked and fined. Fuller colour in primrose style. This is a very fresh nose rather than the heavier style. Further back on the palate the weight of this terroir starts to show. A good example of Meursault Perrières. 91-94 Points
William Kelley, Wine Advocate
The 2018 Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières is showing very nicely from bottle, offering up a youthful but already expressive bouquet of citrus oil, pear, blanched almonds, pastry cream and white flowers. Medium to full-bodied, racy and incisive, it's elegantly textural, with fine concentration, tangy acids, and a precise, mineral finish. While this Perrières is already deceptively charming, if it gains in depth and complexity with bottle age as much as I suspect it will, this score may seem conservative. Drink 2022-2045. 93 Points

Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru 2019
$1075.00 a bottle
3 bottles available
Charles Curtis, Decanter
From a 2.33ha parcel of Chevalier-Montrachet on the terraces just above Le Montrachet. Slightly cooler temperatures and a bit less soil make the wine less opulent than Montrachet, but only just. The texture is still dense, but there is a tension and a beautiful line of acidity that has its own genius. Here the oak is not over done and the wine has great purity of expression, with a lemon zest on the attack that evolves to more exotic tropical notes with time. Marvellous. (Drink between 2024-2039). 96 Points
Jasper Morris MW
Four terrasses together, mid yellow, some white fruit, some power, wait and see. The palate brings out all the Chevalier character with a few little touches of mandarin, very clean long white fruit finish, manages the heat of the year very well. 94-96 Points

Beaune 1er Cru Greves Vigne de L’Enfant Jesus 2018
$265.00 a bottle
James Suckling
A rich, creamy-textured red with ripe-strawberry, chocolate, stone and hazelnut aromas and flavors. It’s full and layered with attractive fruit and lightly chewy yet polished tannins. Flavorful finish. Subtle, yet structured. Try after 2022. 94 Points
Jasper Morris MW
Excellent bright purple colour. The nose includes a healthy proportion of oak showing, though only 20% in fact. 20% whole bunch on the old vines which helps refresh the finish. This stretches out very well to the back of the palate and will refine with age. Good tension at the back. 92-95 Points
Neal Martin, Vinous
The 2018 Beaune Les Grèves Vigne de L'Enfant Jesus 1er Cru, from the 3.9-hectare monopole in Grèves, has a lovely, floral, very pure bouquet that frankly puts Bouchard’s other Beaune Premier Crus in their place. The medium-bodied palate delivers supple tannin, fine acidity and pure black cherry and blueberry fruit with wonderful details on the finish. This is very classy and punches with many more expensive Premier Crus in the Côte de Nuits. (Drink between 2022-2042). 92-94 Points

Beaune 1er Cru Greves Vigne de L’Enfant Jesus 2017
$249.00 a bottle
4 bottles available
Tim Atkin MW
Bouchard Père's historic 4ha parcel at the centre of this excellent premier cru is the 'filet mignon' of Grèves, according to Frédéric Weber. Owned by the négociant since 1791, this is an intense, aromatic, engagingly floral Pinot Noir with 15% stems and 30% new wood and good support from tannins and balancing acidity. (Drink between 2024-2030). 93 Points
