Domaine Bony Gachot 2020 Pre Arrival Offer. Save 15%. Quantities are very limited
This is a domaine to have on your radar!
Domaine Bony Gachot is tiny. It was created in 1960 by Jean-Pierre Bony who had just 4.5 hectares of vines.
In 2020 Fabienne Bony, the daughter of Jean-Pierre, with the support of her husband Samuel Gachot, took control of the family domaine changing the name from Domaine Jean-Pierre Bony to Domaine Bony Gachot, hoping that their daughters will take control at some stage in the future.
They have expanded the domaine to 7.14 hectares which is still tiny!
Earlier this year we received our allocation of the 2020 vintage. As expected, with a small harvest, quantities are very limited. We have, however, been granted limited quantities of some new cuvees including three whites.
We offer all wines at a 15% Pre Arrival Discount.
Here are a few quotes from the French press...
Gault and Millau: "Fabienne Bony produces wines with everything delicately balanced. One could almost speak about wines in the feminine. We like their so fine character and this lacy approach with a cool material of small fruits of wood. They are very good and in muted colours with length and intensity."
Cuisine et Vins de France: "Fabienne Bony raises his red Burgundy as she educates her daughters, with patience and softness. Wines are pure, very well brought up, with delicate aromas of black fruits. To drink with mushrooms and game."
This is a domaine to have on your radar! The wines are refined and stylish.

Bony Gachot's Nuits-St-Georges blanc is planted to a mix of Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc.
This vineyard plot benefits from an oceanic climate and limestone soils with white oolites.
On the nose, this white NSG is floral with hints of tangy fruit. On the palate it turns out to be full-bodied, round and generous, with aromas of white flowers.
Chardonnay provides minerality, Pinot Blanc brings complexity and length on the palate.

Nuits-St-Georges Les Damodes 2020
Landed Price $126.50
Pre Arrival Price $107.50
This vineyard lies on the Vosne-Romanee border. The name translates as little ladies, which some think may refer to female druids who had this vineyard high on the slope. It adjoins Vosne-Romanee Les Damaudes which is above Les Malconsorts.
The soil here consists of a fine layer of gravel with the gorgeous pink marble of Premeaux just below.
This is a nice part of Burgundy and it is not surprising that the wines always speak more of Vosne-Romanee than Nuits-St-Georges.
