Domaine Chevillon-Chezeaux was created in 1887 by Eugène-François Chevillon, who inherited from his father Symphorien Chevillon some parcels of vines. He was succeeded by Eugene Chevillon and then in 1946 by his two sons, Georges and Maurice. In 1947, Domaine Georges Chevillon grew with the acquisition of Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er cru "Les St-Georges". In 2000, their granddaughter Claire and her husband Philippe Chezeaux her husband renamed the domaine Chevillon-Chezaux. The husband and wife are well connected. Claire is a cousin of the owners of Domaine Robert Chevillon and Philippe is the brother of Jerome from Domaine Jerome Chezeaux, who is also in our portfolio.
The domaine owns 8.61 hectares spread over 14 different appellations including 5 Premier Cru Nuits, a lovely Vosne-Romanee and two very affordable and delicious generic bottlings. And we must not forget their rare Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru Les Bousselots BLANC made from a mutation of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay!
Today we present the new 2020's. The domaine has resisted temptation and prices have risen much less than at many other addresses. The wines are still incredible value.
