The Clos de Vougeot climat Quartier de Marei Haut is a special area high on the slope within the Clos. The family was among the original buyers of the vineyard when Clos Vougeot was first divided in 1889.
It appears to only be bottled by two producers - Capitain-Gagnerot and Arnoux-Lachaux.
Capitain-Gagnerot own a small strip right next to Arnoux-Lachaux. We see the Arnoux-Lachaux 2019 being offered online for between $3600.00 to $10.500.00 a bottle!!! It must be special. Very special!
The Capitain-Gagnerot is much more affordable.
