Vines planted in 1981 in terraces on clayey sand on Bathonian limestone at an elevation of 300m. Racy nose of red and black fruits with lots of minerals and the intense elegance so typical of Coudray-Bizot’s wines. The power of 2009 is beautifully tempered by the freshness and vibrancy. The nose displays the same perfectly ripe fruit with a mineral streak culminating in a long, sappy finish. As usual this is refined and delicious and will appeal to lovers of traditional Burgundies.
