This is an assemblage of old vines parcels across Puligny. I suspect in 2021 there is probably more than a little Premier Cru grapes included as some cuvees were not produced due to the small crop. This is always a super wine and should not be missed.

That's Puligny-Montrachet! A nose of white flowers, crushed white stones, gooseberry and spice. Quite different to the riper vintages of 2018, 2019 and 2020 - this is classic, restrained, deep and saline. It tastes like a wine from high on the slope with limestone and acid driving the crisp, fresh fruit flavours. There's a touch of sulphides adding to the already complex amalgam of flavours and lots of spice notes wafting in and out. The wine is long rather than wide with the saline notes enticing the palate. Classic Puligny with old vines depth and serious interest. I wonder in 2021 how much Premier Cru fruit is in this wine?. Diam closure.

The latest vintage is 2021. Most of you will know what a difficult vintage it was and how frost had such a bit impact on cropping levels. Whites were particularly affected and production was a tiny fraction of the norm. The domaine has advised that the production shortfall for Premier Cru whites was 80% in 2021. Thus we do not have a lot of bottles to offer.
