Darren Harris
Deep ruby. On the nose there are dark fruits - plums and blueberries with spice and minerally earth. Very pleasing aromatics. The palate is structured and full with the generous, youthfully juicy fruit flavours buffered by a firm age-worthy finish. The wine is textured, detailed and precise and shows just how good Mercurey can be in the right hands. Easy to drink now with its fruit character but would appreciate at least a few years in the cellar to show it full potential.

A racy, linear style, this red exhibits cherry, raspberry and oak spice flavors, welded to a steely structure. It tightens up even more on the finish, where a light astringency reigns. The most backward of the Suremain range, but the most likely to reward patience. Best from 2022 through 2033.
