This red is plump and packed with black cherry, blackberry, floral and earth notes. A firm backbone of tannins is nicely integrated and lingers with a chalky feel on the finish. Drink now through 2028.
Bright Purple-red. Nose of dark fruits: cherry, plum and a little blackcurrant with ground spice, dark chocolate and limestone minerality playing in the backgound. The palate is juicy and silky with a savoury note. Tannins are coated by ripe fruit only to emerge on the finish focusing the wine very nicely. This is quite a full bodied wine for Mercurey with a lot of appeal. Once you start you may not stop.
