Gold Medal and Trophy for the Best Corton at the International Wine Challenge 2017. "Wild and breezy with bright bramble fruit and a lovely rounded but dense palate. Classic, stony Corton fruit with a lovely balance between richness and invigorating freshness."

An exceptionally ripe but not roasted or jammy nose is similar if more complex. The velvety, round and equally seductively textured big-bodied flavors possess a bit more overall size, weight and mid-palate concentration while delivering even better length on the powerful and built-to-age finish that, like the nose, is much more complex. Patience required however. (Drink starting 2030)

Located in the same clos as the Premier Cru of the same name, this comes from the upper part of the vineyards where the soils are very poor indeed. It’s a very pure expression of the Grand Cru, with pepper spice and red berry flavours, chalky acidity and fine tannins, especially for a Corton. 2024-30

The 2015 Corton Clos des Maréchaudes Grand Cru has a fragrant, lifted bouquet with raspberry, cranberry and strawberry aromas and light flinty scents underneath. The palate is medium-bodied with fine acidity, crispness and focus and shows impressive finesse for a Corton. Mineral-driven on the aftertaste. Excellent. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting. (Drink between 2019-2029)
