Burghound
Here there is no reductive funk, indeed there is a lovely purity to the elegant and cool essence of red berries that are trimmed in soft earth aromas that flash a subtle spiciness. The mouthfeel of the medium-bodied flavors is again rich, velvety and sappy with good minerality that helps to add a sense of lift to the lingering and balanced finish where a trace of rusticity arises. This too is sufficiently tightly wound that it should reward mid-term keeping and need at least a few years first. (Drink starting 2023)
Jancis Robinson
Spicy oak, chewy tannin and restrained black fruit. Needs a good few years to integrate. Should have enough weight of fruit to last. (RH) (Drink between 2021-2031)
