The 2022 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Fuées is one of the firmer, more structured wines in the range, unwinding in the glass with aromas of raspberries, cherries and smoky berries, followed by a medium to full-bodied, lively palate framed by taut, chalky tannins. 90-93 Points
This is also exuberantly spicy with its blend of kirsch, red and dark cherry, currant and softly floral wisp. I also like the texture of the medium-bodied flavors that exude more evident minerality on the rich but punchy, moderately austere and slightly firmer finale. This well-balanced effort should age effortlessly as well. (Drink starting 2034). 91-93 Points
The 2022 Chambolle-Musigny Les Fuées 1er Cru, which had just been racked and includes 50% whole bunches, opens wonderfully on the nose: quite minerally, very graceful, wild strawberry, cranberry and blood orange aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with sapid red fruit, fine grip, and a touch of bitter cherry lending to the natural energy of this Les Fuées. Matured entirely in new oak, I must admit that the wood drives the finish a little, but that will be assimilated with time. Great potential. (Drink between 2028-2048). 93-95 Points
