This comes from a half-hectare located upslope from the Clos-St-Denis, where Lignier is the owner of one third of the appellation. The vines were planted in 1966 and 30% of the fruit was fermented as whole clusters. There is great purity to the ripe plummy fruit, with floral notes that shine through a bit of reduction. On the palate the wine is dense but very fresh, lively and long. (Drink between 2024-2039). 95 Points
