From the upper part of Chanlins plus a small plot lower down by the Auberge des Vignes. A fine mid purple. This is less elegant than the Volnay with a stricter fruit behind, more structure, still predominantly based around the acidity yet with some tannins too. The fruit surmounts both, with raspberry and fresh cherry together.

The 2020 Pommard Village is matured in 25% new oak (four barrels total). It has a well-defined bouquet with blackberry, briary and wild strawberry, traces of orange pith that emerge with time. The palate is medium-bodied with good structure, a bit more backbone compared to the Volnay Village with good density on the finish. Promising. (Drink between 2025-2038)
