Here at the base of the slope, Sauzet farms 0.7ha in fairly dense clay soils. The result is a wine that is rich indeed, with ripe apple fruit, an element of honey and roasted hazelnut. The palate is massive, almost fat, although it is not flabby - there is still acidity here, yet it is rich. (Drink between 2025-2040). 95 Points
