Domaine Denis Pere et Fils

Domaine Denis Pere et Fils

Domaine Denis Père et Fils is a family business located in Pernand-Vergelesses, a picturesque town located in the Côte de Beaune. The property includes 13.5 hectares of vineyard holdings which encompass the terrains of Pernand-Vergelesses, Savigny-Les-Beaune, Aloxe-Corton and Chorey-Les-Beaune.

Just like his father and grandfather before him, Raoul Denis began a career as a vigneron of the prestigious Hospices de Beaune in 1940. Yet Raoul also had aspirations to work on the small 2 hectare family property and nurture it into what he believed it had the potential to be. So, together with his wife Raymonde, Raoul began fulfilling a long-time dream. By 1972, Denise and Raymonde had established Denis Père et fils with the help of their Denis Pere people eldest son Roland and his wife Annick. With a passion and dedication to their craft, and the acquisitions in the Ile des Vergelesses appellation, their vineyards grew bigger and richer. In 1982, when the Denis family acquired prominent parcels in Corton Charlemagne and Aloxe Corton as well as other new vineyards, they were soon selling over 10 hectares of various wines. Ten years later, in 1992, Raoul passed the torch to his youngest son Christophe and the tradition, and the dream, continued successfully.
