Domaine Drouhin-Laroze was established in 1850 by Jean-Baptiste Laroze in Gevrey-Chambertin. In 1919 Suzanne, his granddaughter married Alexandre Drouhin who owned vines in Chambolle-Musigny and the Domaine Drouhin-Laroze was created.
Today, the sixth generation is in charge of 11.5 hectares of vines spread across some prestigious sites in the Cote de Nuits including the Grand Crus Chambertin Clos de Beze, Bonnes-Mares, Clos Vougeot, Latriceres-Chambertin and Chapelle-Chambertin. There are also some very handy Premier Crus from Gevrey-Chambertin.
Not only does the estate own some great vineyards but their wines are also very well priced in today's hot Burgundy market.
