Domaine Michel Noellat has its origins in the 19th century. Today, the sixth generation tends 27 hectares of vines in 23 appellations. The domaine's family tree has connections to both Henri Jayer and Hudelot-Noellat.
I tasted the 2014's from this domaine at the Grand Jours de Bourgogne in March. I am always on the lookout for great producers in Vosne-Romanee and I am pleased to say I have found one. The domaine has Vosne Premier Crus Les Beaux Monts, Les Chaumes and Les Suchots as well as numerous other top wines, including Echezeaux and Clos Vougeot, and a lovely range or Premier Crus from different communes.
The domaine has been featured in The Burgundy Report and Burgundyeye - click here to read - but I haven't found any reviews of the 2014's yet. The wines were impressive - I certainly lost not time getting in contact to secure an allocation of the super 2014's.
