Seguin-Manuel was founded in 1824 as a negociant business in Savigny-le-Beaune. In 2004 the business was purchased by Thibaut Marion who then moved the business to Beaune, into old cellars originally owned by Albert Bichot.
Thibaut has set about expanding the domaine’s vineyards with plots in Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet, Pommard, Meursault and Vosne-Romanée added. More than 8 hectares of vineyard are now directly grown by Seguin-Manuel.
Vineyards are grown organically with no use of chemicals. Certification has been under way since 2012. The soil is ploughed in order to strengthen the roots. The date of harvest is decided when each plot has reached its full ripeness. Each plot is hand harvested.
The attractive labeling of today’s bottles are inspired by originals from the 1900’s.
